A neoclassical building from 19th century.
Lemon Tree House derives its name from the neo-classical residence that was built here in the late 19th century. It was originally the home of Anastasia Economides, daughter of Fokas and Paraskeui Economides. This highly respected couple raised its seven children in this neo-classical building which still proudly stands among other neo-classical homes bearing the architecture and colours that are distinct to the Dodecanesian islands.
The magnificent lemon tree that once stood here continues to live on in the courtyard where lemon trees were planted from branches of the original tree.
The admirable heritage passed on to Anastasia Chiotaki Mastromina, who retained those comfortable accommodations with her husband Nikolao Mastromina back in 1994. They were fully renovated in 2019.
